Candle
This font that I created was inspired by watching a candle as I was working, watching the wick as it was burning. Moving in all different directions. I wanted to see what the wicks looked like before taking even lighting it. So I went and looked at a candle without being lit and it seemed so different than a lit wick. I thought a nonlit wick could be as interesting as a typeface. I began by creating a set of typtoms which helped me to build the font. This font is currently usable on any computer.

Written by Groot
Written by Groot is inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy’s character Groot. As I was creating this typeface I was watching a Marvel movie and the character Groot was in it. I don’t know what gave me the idea but I started to get a little sloppy and really heavy with the lines. It really felt like it could have been written by Groot in my opinion. The lines in some of the give an idea of a root/ tree branch look which I thought fit right in with the idea. I began by creating a set of typtoms which helped me to build the font.

LightBulb
Lightbulb is inspired by simply looking up in the classroom or anywhere with fluorescent lights. The long square sections, where in the center you can see the rounded light, shining through. I went about creating shapes that felt like a lightbulb inside a slot, Then going letter by letter and getting the sections to fit together and create a cohesive look. This font was created with a set of typtoms which helped me to build it.

Paper Airplane
While I was working, I was messing around with the paper around me. My one friend was going to throw away a piece and I said I wanted it to make a paper airplane. After I made the plane I sat there looking at it because I really didn’t have anywhere to throw it. So as I was looking at it, I saw all the different shapes that build up a paper plane. So as I was building the typtoms I was really inspired by the plane and that’s what inspired this font set.
